the Link is a bi-annual magazine for Yarra Valley Grammar past students, parents and prospective families that provides key event updates about the School, alumni profiles, adventure stories and celebrations and some history of the School. It also allows the Yarra Foundation and the Yarra Old Grammarians an opportunity to provide information about their activities for the coming months

Issue description:
The May edition of the Link features the opening of the new Science and Mathematics building, the Dux recipients of 2014 and student leaders for 2015, the annual Food Wine and Music concert, an article about the Art and Design department’s history and the ICT Multimedia tour to the US. Alumni profiles include Paul Singer, Director of Operations to the Governor-General who was instrumental in arranging the Governor-General’s presence for the opening of the new building, James Simpson who is the assistant musical director for The Lion King, Celenie Seidel, fashion consultant and forecaster for a London designer and Tracey Steinrucken, a plant ecologist and the 2015 recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship. It also features a story about a bike ride from Canada to Mexico to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria and a trek along the frozen Zanskar River also known as the Chadar in Kashmir. It also highlights the Old Grammarian’s cricket match against Yarra’s First XI cricket team, the annual Old Grammarian’s golf day and news from the Bushrangers football team.
